Hello! I just saw something really cool on Pinterest, via Sandra Foyt @Albany Kid and I had to share this with you.
Did you know there is a site where you can quickly estimate how much it will cost to drive from one location to another? It's called CostToDrive.com. You just enter in your start and end location as well as the year, make and model of your car. Voila! In seconds it tells you how many miles your journey is, about how much money it costs for gas, and your carbon footprint too.
For mathematically challenged people, like myself, I think this is pretty cool. Also, it's really interesting to compare two cars for the same road trip. For instance, the site says that a trip from New York to Los Angeles costs $346 in a Hummer H3 and $111 in a Toyota Prius. That's over 3x the amount of gas!
