Main Line Parent Private School Expo

“The mind is not a vessel to be filled, but a fire to be kindled.”
Plutarch

Have you very thought about sending your child to an independent or private school? For anyone who may be thinking about it or currently planning, the Main Line Private & Independent School Expo is an excellent resource.

Recently, I had the chance to visit the expo, which was held at Rador Country Club in Villanova, PA. It was a lovely event which provided parents an opportunity to meet representatives from local schools. The event showcased many different types of programs including: special needs, gifted, traditional, Montessori, Waldorf, art/science/music-focused enrichment for children and boarding school as well.

Every parent knows how unique each individual child is, and these schools really cater to a wide variety of kids. Whether your child has a keen interest in academics, sports, nature, or the arts, there was something to suit almost everyone.

I had the pleasure of meeting many of the school representatives, and I was really impressed with the wide variety of social and academic programs that were available. There were also seminars to help educate parents about what makes these schools so special, understanding the admittance testing process and how to prepare financially.

Instead of having parents do all of the prep-work at home, the fair enabled parents to meet many schools within a short amount of time, so that they could be educated when it comes to finding the right program for their child. For busy parents thinking about enrolling their child into a private or independant school, this fair is invaluable.

A huge thanks to Main Line ParentKimberton Waldorf School and all of the exhibiting schools and programs for this special event.
