Taking The Time To Listen To Your Kids

Do you feel like your kids ask a million questions?

My 6 year old is at a very curious age. Who? What? When? Where? Why? From the moment he wakes up until the last few moments before he falls asleep, he is always asking questions. Many of the questions he asks I don't even know the answers to.

I can see the wheels constantly spinning in his head.  As a mom, I think it's human nature to feel the need to hit the mute button every now and then, but I always stop myself. Not only is he learning, but I am also learning from his non-stop curiosity. He makes me think about things I never thought about before. Most importantly, I feel pretty honored to be the one who gets to answer so many of his questions.

I saw the quote above on the Inner Child Fun Facebook page and I fell in love with it. It's such a great reminder that all those little conversations we have with our kids really do make a difference. Have you seen any quotes recently that really struck a chord with you? What do you say when your child asks you questions that you don't know the answer to?
